Armenian school students earned six medals at the 30th Junior Balkan Mathematical Olympiad held in Buzău, Romania, competing against 133 students from 23 countries.

Hayk Manukyan, a 10th-grader at Quantum College, won gold. Levon Hayrapetyan of Ayb School claimed silver in the eighth-grade category. Four bronze medals went to Erik Hasratyan, Tade Moradyanhajiabadi, Artashes Tumanyan, and Khachatur Vardanyan, all from various Yerevan schools.

The competition, limited to students under 15, was coached by Tigran Chtyan and Edgar Hoghmrcyan of the Kqarakusi Educational Foundation. Armenia's strong showing continues a pattern of success; last year, Tigran Hakheyan from Quantum College won silver at the same olympiad.
