Armenian Relief Society Completes 9th International Cruise Across Asia

The Armenian Relief Society concluded its 9th International Cruise on May 1, 2026, after a 14-day voyage across Asia. The journey began April 17 in Singapore aboard Royal Caribbean's Ovation of the Seas with over 410 participants from North America, Europe, and Australia.

The itinerary included stops in Vietnam, Hong Kong, Taiwan, and Japan. Participants visited Singapore's Armenian Church of St. Gregory the Illuminator, built in 1835, where the group gathered for prayers and hymns.

The cruise featured cultural programming including performances by singer Elie Berberian, a belote tournament, a tea party attended by 200 participants, and an April 24 commemoration honoring Armenian Genocide victims. The ARS highlighted its global humanitarian work through dedicated programming and daily social media updates that reached tens of thousands of viewers.

Participants expressed interest in attending future ARS cruises, with organizers noting the event successfully brought together Armenians from diverse diaspora communities.
