Armenian PM to attend Eurasian Intergovernmental Council meeting in Kyrgyzstan
Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan announced he will attend the Eurasian Intergovernmental Council meeting scheduled for August 15 in Cholpon-Ata, Kyrgyzstan. The announcement addresses recent import restrictions on Armenian products imposed by Russia's Federal Service for Veterinary and Phytosanitary Surveillance. Pashinyan stated the issue would be resolved through Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) mechanisms, saying the government is already working on the matter through institutional channels. "Such matters are part of the normal and ongoing processes within the framework of the Eurasian Economic Union," Pashinyan told reporters. The PM emphasized that EAEU institutions continue to function and that Armenia will engage in discussions through the Union's established procedures to address trade concerns.
