Armenian PM outlines post-election priorities, calls for swift implementation of TRIPP project
Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan chaired a government meeting to outline post-election priorities following the June 7 parliamentary elections. He praised state institutions for ensuring smooth election operations and law enforcement efforts to combat electoral violations, though he expressed concern about insufficient public intolerance toward vote-buying practices.
Pashinyan emphasized the importance of continuing major infrastructure projects, including road construction, the "300 Schools, 500 Kindergartens" initiative, and railway restoration efforts. He prioritized rapid ratification and implementation of the TRIPP project, a multi-billion-dollar U.S.-Armenia initiative expected to attract significant foreign investment.
Additional priorities include water sector reform, improvements to the business environment, and regional development consultations. Pashinyan stated that communities have submitted substantial development projects this year and pledged to identify three priority issues for every settlement in Armenia.
