Armenian Opposition Figure Urges High Voter Turnout
Sefilian urges high voter turnout, says strong participation challenges incumbent authorities

Zhirayr Sefilian, a member of the National Democratic Pole party council, called for robust voter participation in Armenia's parliamentary elections, stating that high turnout would challenge incumbent authorities. Speaking to reporters after voting, Sefilian emphasized the importance of citizen engagement in the electoral process. "The higher the turnout, the more difficult it will be for the current authorities," he said. Sefilian cast his ballot in support of what he described as future national authorities and a stronger Armenia. Eighteen political forces competed for seats in the National Assembly during the voting.
