Armenian Heritage Park Celebrates Immigration and Resilience in Boston

Armenian Heritage Park, located on Boston's Rose Kennedy Greenway between Faneuil Hall and the North End, serves as a public art installation and gathering space honoring Armenian heritage and the broader immigrant experience. Dedicated in 2012, the park features an iconic abstract sculpture—a split rhomboid dodecahedron—that is physically reconfigured annually by crane, symbolizing adaptation and new beginnings. Water flows from a reflecting pool beneath the sculpture to a labyrinth at the park's center, representing hope and life's journey. The park's design incorporates the words Art, Science, Service and Commerce, recognizing immigrant contributions to American society. Beyond its commemorative function, the park serves as an outdoor classroom hosting year-round public programs that foster cross-cultural dialogue and understanding.
