Armenian flowers begin market entry into Belgium

First test batch of Armenian flowers arrives in Belgium

Public Radio of ArmeniaAug 28, 20261 min readOriginal: Public Radio of Armenia

Armenia's Ambassador to Belgium Tigran Balayan announced that the first test shipment of Armenian flowers has arrived in Belgium for evaluation. The flowers have been sent to market officials for assessment as part of an initial effort to establish Armenian floral exports in the Belgian market.

Balayan credited colleagues at Armenia's Foreign Ministry and the Armenian Embassy in Brussels for coordinating the shipment. The test batch represents an early step in what could develop into a broader commercial relationship between Armenian flower producers and European buyers. Belgium, a major hub for European flower distribution, is a strategic entry point for expanding Armenian agricultural exports to Western markets.
