Armenian EyeCare Project Honors Founder Dr. Ohanesian
AECP to honor founder and president

The Armenian EyeCare Project (AECP) will host its annual gala on November 14 in Newport Beach, California, to present Founder and President Dr. Roger V. Ohanesian with a Lifetime Achievement Award. The honor recognizes over 30 years of leadership building Armenia's eye care infrastructure. Since his first humanitarian mission to Armenia in 1992, Dr. Ohanesian has established the country's first ophthalmology subspecialty fellowship programs, launched the Mobile Eye Hospital, and created regional eye centers and diagnostic clinics. AECP initiatives include Armenia's first Retinopathy of Prematurity program, a Center of Excellence for Prevention of Childhood Blindness, and nationwide diabetic eye disease screening programs. The organization has partnered with institutions including Children's Hospital Los Angeles and USAID to modernize eye care delivery across Armenia.
