Armenia explores prospects for green hydrogen production
Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan convened a consultation to examine opportunities for developing green hydrogen production in Armenia as part of the country's energy transition strategy.
The meeting reviewed proposals from a working group on hydrogen and studies conducted by consulting firms BDO Advisory and Civitta. Participants discussed the legal framework for green hydrogen development, production methods, and potential applications in decarbonizing Armenia's energy system.
Official presentations covered Armenia's long-term strategic vision for reducing greenhouse gas emissions and meeting green taxonomy standards. The consultation examined development scenarios across short, medium, and long-term timeframes.
