Armenia's Special Art Center marks 35 years serving children

The Special Art Center for Children (EHSK) celebrated its 35th anniversary in Yerevan with the "Art Without Borders Festival," showcasing free arts education programs for disadvantaged youth. Founded in 1991 to serve children with disabilities, the organization has expanded to reach nearly 960 children across Armenia through 145 creative groups. Programs include visual arts, music, dance, traditional crafts and contemporary artistic disciplines. The festival featured student performances and an exhibition of their work, along with a documentary chronicling the center's history and impact. EHSK operates in six regions beyond Yerevan, providing inclusive creative opportunities for orphans, children without parental care and those facing difficult circumstances, helping them develop confidence, communication skills and artistic expression.
