Armenia Outlines AI Governance Strategy at Eurasian Forum
Armenia presents its approach to responsible AI use at EAEU forum
Armenia's First Deputy Minister of High-Tech Industry Gevorg Mantashyan presented the country's approach to responsible artificial intelligence during a panel discussion at the 5th Eurasian Economic Forum in Astana on May 28.
The discussion, held alongside senior officials from other Eurasian Economic Union member states, focused on AI as a driver of digital integration and economic modernization. Mantashyan emphasized that AI development must prioritize trust, transparency, and human-centered approaches alongside robust cybersecurity measures.
The deputy minister stressed the importance of knowledge exchange among EAEU nations and highlighted how AI could improve industrial competitiveness and public services. He noted Armenia's commitment to strengthening its technological capacity through education, workforce development, and international partnerships to build a competitive regional AI ecosystem.
