Armenian, Iranian Foreign Ministers discuss strategic ties and regional connectivity
Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan met with Iranian Foreign Minister Seyed Abbas Araghchi in Tehran on October 5 to discuss bilateral relations and regional infrastructure projects.
The ministers emphasized the strategic importance of Armenian-Iranian ties and reviewed cooperation in energy, transport, and infrastructure sectors. Key topics included construction of a second bridge on the Armenia-Iran border, completion of a third power transmission line, and freight transportation facilitation.
Mirzoyan presented details on Armenia's Crossroads of Peace initiative and the TRIPP project, highlighting regional connectivity opportunities. The officials exchanged views on recent regional developments, with Mirzoyan stressing Armenia's commitment to resolving issues through negotiation. Both sides also reaffirmed the importance of cooperation in media and public information spheres.
