Armenia has launched exports of fresh fruits and vegetables to the United Arab Emirates, beginning with up to 40 tons per week, according to the Ministry of Economy. The shipments are being conducted through a partnership with Watermelon Ecosystem, a Dubai-based technology platform for the food and beverage industry, following a Memorandum of Understanding signed on August 27.
Watermelon Ecosystem provides digital procurement, supply chain management, and financing solutions for restaurants, hotels, and food suppliers. Minister of Economy Gevorg Papoyan visited the company's Dubai facilities to discuss the partnership and explore investment opportunities in Armenia.
