Armenia and U.S. Expand Cooperation on Critical Minerals
Armenia, U.S. discuss opportunities to expand collaboration in the field of rare and critical minerals
Armenia and the United States are exploring expanded collaboration in rare and critical minerals, according to discussions between Armenian Ambassador Narek Mkrtchyan and William Cunningham, director of the International Programs Office at the U.S. Geological Survey.
The meeting covered the U.S. experience in establishing its geological survey and potential areas of bilateral cooperation. Both sides emphasized the importance of working together under the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership Charter, signed in May, and a Memorandum of Understanding focused on securing supply chains for critical minerals and rare earth elements.
The discussions reflect broader efforts to strengthen Armenia-U.S. ties in resource management and geological expertise.
