Armenia and Türkiye Meet on Ani Bridge Reconstruction

Armenia and Türkiye held their second joint working group meeting on August 4, 2026, to discuss reconstruction of the historic Ani Bridge, according to Public Radio of Armenia. The two countries emphasized the significance of a protocol signed on May 4, 2026, in Yerevan during the European Political Community Summit. Both parties committed to advancing implementation of the agreement at the earliest opportunity. The Ani Bridge, a 10th-century structure spanning the Araxes River on the Armenia-Türkiye border, has been a point of cultural and diplomatic interest.
