Armenia and Museum of the Bible Launch Heritage Partnership
Armenia, Museum of the Bible sign cooperation agreement to promote Armenian Christian heritage
Armenia's Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sports and the Museum of the Bible in Washington, D.C. have signed a letter of intent to promote Armenian Christian heritage. The agreement, signed by Minister Zhanna Andreasyan and Museum President Carlos Campo, establishes institutional cooperation on museum development, research initiatives, and educational programs. A key component includes creating a permanent exhibition dedicated to Armenian Christian heritage at the museum. The partnership also encompasses digitization efforts, preservation projects, and experience-sharing initiatives. Minister Andreasyan emphasized the importance of presenting Christian heritage as relevant to present and future generations, not merely historical. The Museum of the Bible, which opened in 2017, attracted approximately 800,000 visitors in 2024, double the 2021 figure.
