Armenia and Georgia Deepen Law Enforcement Cooperation
Armenia, Georgia seek to deepen cooperation on internal security
Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan met with Georgia's Minister of Internal Affairs Sulkhan Tamazashvili to discuss expanding bilateral security cooperation between the two countries. Pashinyan emphasized the existing partnership between Armenian and Georgian law enforcement agencies and noted significant potential for further development through high-level contacts and reciprocal visits.
Both officials highlighted joint initiatives focused on combating crime and illicit drug trafficking as priorities for strengthening internal security. Tamazashvili reported productive discussions with Armenian counterparts regarding implementation of joint projects, which he said would enhance both nations' capacity to address shared security challenges.
The meeting included broader discussions on deepening collaboration across multiple areas of bilateral cooperation.
