Armenia, Albania discuss expanding parliamentary cooperation and EU integration
Armenia's ambassador to Albania met with the country's deputy parliamentary head to discuss expanding bilateral cooperation. Ambassador Tigran Mkrtchyan briefed Albanian officials on Armenia's recent parliamentary elections and proposed establishing reciprocal visits and legislative exchanges between the two nations' parliaments.
Topics covered included European Union integration efforts, visa liberalization, economic diversification, and Armenia's normalization processes with Azerbaijan and Turkey. Albania's deputy head welcomed the initiative and offered to share experience from its own EU accession negotiations.
Both sides emphasized the value of multilateral cooperation and identified potential for growth in tourism and air connectivity between the countries.
