Anti-Armenian Flyers Found Near Glendale Elementary School

Glendale police are investigating offensive fliers targeting the Armenian community discovered near Glenoaks Elementary School on Friday. The materials, designed to resemble folded $100 bills, contained derogatory language and a message reading "THIS IS AMERICA NOT STUPID ARMENIA," according to the Armenian Report.

Police classified the incident as a hate incident but said they have not yet determined whether the fliers constitute a prosecutable criminal offense. Investigators are working to identify those responsible and understand their motives.

The discovery comes days after Glenoaks Elementary began offering what officials describe as the nation's first Western Armenian dual-language immersion program. The Glendale Police Department stated they are coordinating with the Glendale Unified School District on the matter. Glendale is home to one of the largest Armenian communities outside Armenia.
