Ani Khachian elected first female president of AJA East Coast

Ani Khachian has been elected president-elect of the Armenian Jewelers Association USA – East Coast, becoming the first woman to hold the position in the organization's 27-year history. Khachian, founder and creative director of Ani Fine Jewelry, brings decades of industry experience and holds credentials from the Gemological Institute of America. She has served on AJA East Coast's board since 2016 and is a third-generation jewelry professional. The election reflects growing female leadership in the global jewelry industry. As president-elect, Khachian plans to expand educational programs, strengthen member engagement, mentor emerging professionals, and promote ethical business practices and responsible sourcing. Outgoing president Ardem Aslanian, now treasurer, endorsed the leadership transition.
