Armenia, US, Azerbaijan issue joint statement
The United States, Armenia, and Azerbaijan issued a joint statement marking the first anniversary of a White House peace summit where leaders signed declarations aimed at ending decades of conflict in the South Caucasus.
According to the statement, the three countries have made progress on several fronts: Armenia and Azerbaijan have maintained border stability and are advancing border delimitation and normalization efforts. The Trump Route for International Peace and Prosperity (TRIPP), a planned transit corridor, is moving forward with engineering surveys underway in Armenia and near-completion of highway and railroad infrastructure in Azerbaijan.
Trade has increased significantly, with nearly 60,000 tons of goods transported between the countries within the year, alongside oil product shipments and a new internet connectivity agreement. The US has committed $201 million to regional investment and signed strategic partnership charters with both nations covering energy security, infrastructure, and technology sectors.
