Pashinyan and Tokayev discuss bilateral agenda, future cooperation

Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan and Kazakhstani President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev held a telephone conversation to discuss bilateral relations and future cooperation between their countries.

Tokayev congratulated Pashinyan on his recent reappointment as Prime Minister and thanked him for his recent official visit to Kazakhstan. Pashinyan reciprocated by thanking the Kazakh leader for awarding him Kazakhstan's highest state decoration and praised the strategic importance of Armenia-Kazakhstan ties.

Pashinyan also congratulated Tokayev ahead of Kazakhstan's Kurultai elections scheduled for August 23. During the call, Pashinyan invited Tokayev to visit Armenia officially, an invitation the Kazakh President accepted. The two leaders discussed various bilateral agenda items and explored opportunities for expanded cooperation between the neighboring nations.
