An International Congress of Armenian Studies opened at the Matenadaran in Yerevan, marking the 350th anniversary of Mkhitar Sebastatsi, a prominent Armenian scholar and religious figure. The congress was organized with support from Armenia's Ministry of Education, Science, and Culture.
Mkhitar Sebastatsi (1676–1749) was an influential Armenian Catholic theologian, philosopher, and writer whose work shaped Armenian intellectual and religious discourse. The Matenadaran, one of the world's largest repositories of ancient Armenian manuscripts, serves as the venue for scholarly gatherings focused on Armenian studies and cultural heritage.
