Hayastan Alliance faction elects Anna Grigoryan as new leader
The Hayastan Alliance parliamentary faction has elected Anna Grigoryan as its new leader and Artur Khachatryan as faction secretary. The elections took place during a meeting chaired by alliance leader and former President Robert Kocharyan, where lawmakers discussed the group's priorities and upcoming activities.
The Hayastan Alliance is one of three political forces represented in Armenia's newly formed National Assembly following June 7 parliamentary elections. The Civil Contract Party holds a parliamentary majority with 64 seats, while the Strong Armenia Alliance secured 29 seats. The Hayastan Alliance holds 12 seats in the 105-member legislature.
