German City of Naumburg Names Alley After Armavir

An alley dedicated to the Armenian city of Armavir was officially inaugurated in Naumburg, Germany, during the annual Naumburg Hussite Cherry Festival. The ceremony was attended by Armavir Mayor Varsham Sargsyan, Naumburg Mayor Armin Müller, and Armenia's Ambassador to Germany Viktor Yengibaryan, along with regional officials and representatives from partner cities in France and Germany.

Armavir and Naumburg formalized their sister city partnership in 2025 following a partnership agreement. The two municipalities have since established collaborative initiatives in educational exchange programs, viticulture, and economic development. The alley naming reflects the growing institutional ties between the Armenian and German communities.
