Camp Haiastan marks 75th anniversary with October celebration

Camp Haiastan, a 100-acre Armenian summer camp in Franklin, Massachusetts, is celebrating its 75th anniversary with a community weekend October 9-11.

The celebration begins Friday with a welcome reception at Eagle Brook Saloon. Saturday features a 5K fun run and the main "Meet Me Under the Trees" evening, where alumni and families can reconnect, view historical photos, and enjoy dinner catered by Byblos Restaurant followed by live music from a five-piece band. Attendees can sign a picnic table, visit iconic camp locations, and purchase camp merchandise and a 75th anniversary book.

Sunday concludes with a work party to prepare the facility for next summer. For generations, Camp Haiastan has served as a gathering place for Armenian-American children to build community and learn about their heritage.
