Armenian Government to Resign Following Parliament Formation

Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan announced that his government will resign on Sunday following the formation of the 9th convocation of the National Assembly, in accordance with the Armenian Constitution. During what he described as the cabinet's final regular meeting, Pashinyan thanked government members for their service and outlined the transition process. He noted that the President will appoint a new Prime Minister nominated by the parliamentary majority. Several government officials elected as lawmakers—including the Prime Minister's Chief of Staff Arayik Harutyunyan, Minister of High-Tech Industry Mkhitar Hayrapetyan, Kotayk Governor Aharon Sahakyan, and Press Secretary Nazeli Baghdasaryan—are transitioning to the National Assembly. These officials pledged to continue serving the country in their new parliamentary roles.
