Armenia's TRIPP Transit Project to Follow EAEU Rules
TRIPP project will operate under EAEU rules, Deputy FM says
Armenia's proposed TRIPP transit initiative will operate under Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) regulations, according to Deputy Foreign Minister Mnatsakan Safaryan. During a press briefing, Safaryan confirmed that Armenia's existing EAEU membership obligations remain unchanged and that the transit project will comply with the bloc's rules. He stated that Armenia's customs authorities will continue administering customs procedures under the EAEU framework, addressing concerns about potential coordination challenges between Armenian, American, and Russian stakeholders. Safaryan emphasized that EAEU customs regulations will be enforced by Armenian customs authorities, indicating the country will maintain control over its customs administration despite the involvement of international partners in the transit arrangement.
