Armenia unveils new national team jerseys inspired by Armenian manuscript art
The Football Federation of Armenia and sportswear company Macron have unveiled new home and away jerseys for the Armenian national football team, drawing design inspiration from centuries-old Armenian manuscript ornamentation. The home jersey features bird-inspired decorative patterns, while the away jersey incorporates ornamental borders found in Armenian manuscripts. The designs connect Armenia's cultural heritage with its modern football identity, according to the FFA. The promotional video for the new jerseys was filmed at the Matenadaran Research Institute of Ancient Manuscripts, named after Mesrop Mashtots, with the FFA thanking the institute for its support. Official jersey sales will begin at a date to be announced by the Football Federation of Armenia.
