Armenia's postal service, HayPost, released a commemorative postage stamp on July 22 honoring legendary footballer and coach Nikita Simonyan on the centennial of his birth. The stamp, valued at 380 drams, is part of the "Sport. Armenian Famous Footballers" series and features Simonyan against a backdrop of the iconic Ararat football team. The square-format stamp measures 40 by 40 millimeters and includes text in Armenian and English marking the 100th anniversary. Designer Vahagn Mkrtchyan created the stamp, which was printed by bpost Philately & Stamps in Belgium. A total of 10,000 copies were produced, with eight stamps per sheet. Simonyan (1926–2025) is widely recognized as one of the most influential figures in Armenian and Soviet football history, with distinguished careers as both player and coach.
