Armenia, Canada hold political consultations in Ottawa
Armenia and Canada held political consultations in Ottawa on July 21, led by Armenian Deputy Foreign Minister Vahan Kostanyan and Canadian Associate Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Alexandre Lévêque.
Both nations commended their steadily developing bilateral relations and noted that a recent visit by Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney's delegation to Armenia for the 8th Summit of the European Political Community had strengthened ties between the countries.
Officials discussed expanding the Armenia-Canada bilateral agenda, including economic cooperation and investment in areas of mutual interest. They emphasized the importance of maintaining regular high-level contacts and strengthening political relations.
Kostanyan briefed his Canadian counterpart on regional developments in the South Caucasus and Armenia's ongoing peace consolidation efforts. The officials also exchanged views on broader international developments.
