ARF Condemns Alleged Political Persecution in Armenia

The Armenian Revolutionary Federation (ARF) has issued a statement accusing Armenia's current government of using law enforcement to target political opponents. The party alleges authorities are unlawfully interrogating ARF members and supporters, as well as ordinary citizens, solely for making legal donations to the opposition party.

The ARF claims the government has engaged in wiretapping, unlawful arrests, and illegal prosecutions while ignoring alleged corruption by the ruling Civil Contract party. The statement characterizes these actions as violations of Armenia's constitution and calls on international organizations and election observation missions to assess the government's conduct.

The ARF declared its members will not be intimidated and will continue opposing the current regime through legal struggle for a democratic Armenia.
