ANCA Leader Calls for Stronger U.S. Stance on Cyprus
ANCA’s Hamparian strengthens Armenian-Hellenic alliance at pro-Cyprus conference

Armenian National Committee of America Executive Director Aram Hamparian urged the U.S. government to take stronger action against Turkish aggression at the 41st Annual PSEKA Cyprus Conference in Washington, D.C. Speaking to Hellenic community leaders, Hamparian called for Washington to move beyond "quiet diplomacy" and impose real consequences for Turkey's occupation of Cyprus and its historical actions against Armenians, Greeks, and other Christians.
Hamparian emphasized the Armenian-Hellenic alliance as essential to compelling U.S. accountability, citing a favorable geopolitical moment. He pointed to past Armenian-American advocacy successes, including blocking military aid to Turkey and securing genocide recognition.
The three-day conference drew Cyprus government officials, ambassadors, and more than 80 Hellenic advocates. Congressional delegations including Senate Foreign Relations Committee Chairman Jim Risch and House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries met with attendees.
