ANCA Eastern Region Mobilizes 60 Advocates for Capitol Hill
Eastern Region mobilizes more than 60 participants for ANCA Advocacy Days
The Armenian National Committee of America's Eastern Region organized 60 advocates from over 20 local chapters for Advocacy Days on September 14-15 in Washington, D.C. The delegates coordinated nearly 100 congressional meetings to advance pro-Armenian legislation and community priorities.
Participants represented 22 states and D.C., joining a national delegation of over 100 advocates that reached all 435 House and 100 Senate offices through more than 150 total meetings. The delegation included alumni from ANCA leadership programs alongside first-time advocates, ranging from university students to community leaders.
Advocates received virtual and in-person preparation sessions covering legislative priorities, meeting protocol, and talking points. Participants were organized into coordinated teams with local leads to support effective advocacy. International legal expert Siranush Sahakyan, who represents Armenian prisoners of war in court proceedings, participated in select meetings.
